& What Does A Spinner Do?
Spinning is a way to quickly rewrite your website to another site in order to broaden your network.
If we were to make an analogy about web site promotion and fishing, it would basically be discussion about how to put out more nets to catch the largest amount of fish. Like in fishing, the more websites and content we have, the more traffic we will get.
In addition, because every market group can be further divided into segments, your multitude of websites could be tailored with appropriate graphics to each one.
Example:
Suppose we want to sell websites. We, we already know some of the difficulties that arise. For one, there is a low tech crowd for this segment who wants to hear something like:
"We Provide Our Customers With The Best Possible Website with a Big Texas Sized Savings".
This same crowd, already conflicted with so many concerns just wants an easy solution that allows them to put a check mark next to their items on their task list and be done with it for another year or two. And if your reading this right now, I gather that you might fit into the next group.
Then, there is a crowd that wants reacts to more technical and qualitive information so that they can cross-reference it with other marketers product information. This person may have bought a lousy web deal before and wants to make sure they do not make the same mistake. This person may be interested in reading something more like this.
"We Provide Complete Website Management Software With Our Inhouse Built CMS, Survey Administration, Stats, Comments Section, FAQ's, Adminstration, and Total Marketing Management".
Then, there is a crowd that wants to read everything you write because they think that may in a year or two, they may be able to rewrite their own system to duplicate your own. And oddly enough, they will ask for code samples and call you on the phone to get your pricing and so forth.
In either of the above cases, you will want to have several websites to appease all groups. Maybe you even make a mini site for the guy that wants reverse engineer what you did. In that site, give him access to the wrong code that totally wont work right and tell him he has redistribution rights.
